Welcome to the Art and Creativity Forum
READ BEFORE POSTING: To make this a pleasant forum for all, both staff and users, the following rules have been implemented for this forum. All users to the site and this forum must adhere to the site’s Basic Forum Rules, Community Guidelines and the site Terms and Conditions
NO BUMPING: The bumping of topics to keep them active is not allowed and will be treated as spam. See rule on forum spam here: Forum Rule: Spam
PG-13: The site is pg-13 and any images and content on site must adhere to this rating limit. Images must not violate the Site Rules or Term and Conditions of the site. No detailed nudity however, mild gore is allowed. If posting any images with potentially triggering content, such as violence, gore, potentially triggering situations, a link with a warning must be provided.
Buying/Selling Artwork and Other Creations
• All selling, buying, auctioning, of free of hand/tablet-drawn artwork or any other type of real media creation belong solely in this forum.
• You may not buy, sell, auction, or give art that you did not create. Likewise, you may not post art that you did not create and claim it as your own. Do not steal art from any source or attempt to distribute stolen art. This also includes manipulations or derivations of art, and images not entirely created by you. This is considered art theft and will result in disciplinary action. A.I.-generated works also follow under this rule, as they are not considered to be user-created.
• If selling custom clothing commissions, please use the Custom Clothing forum .
• You are allowed one type of topic(buying/selling) at a time. This means, you may have one buying and one selling open at the same time but cannot have two open selling boards at the same time. This rule still applies, even if the the selling boards are two different types of items, such as one selling digital artwork and one selling physically drawn/crafted items( hand-drawn artwork, handcrafted jewelry and other creations). NOTE: The only exception to selling art that you did not create is commissioning custom wearables . You are allowed to commission another user to create a custom wearable item for you and for you to give/sell that item to others.
• If your post reaches the second page, you may request to have it locked and once it has been locked, make a new topic. There is a 6 -month necro limit for all topics in the forum; if a topic has been locked for inactivity due to not having been posted to in 6 months, a new topic may be created. All topics have a 1,000-post limit and will be automatically locked once they hit the limit. If the post has reached or will reach the 1,000-post limit, a new one may be created. (does this still apply?).
•Physical and digital re-creations of Subeta art MUST be sold on-site. A Note on Custom Wearable Items While the art for custom wearable items may be commissioned for USD, the items themselves are still under the jurisdiction of the site.
•Subeta is not responsible for any disputes involving tangible goods or currency. All transactions involving tangible goods and currency are done so at your own risk. Use your best judgement when conducting transactions involving the shipping and buying of any tangible goods and currency.
•Please be aware that all purchasing of artwork/graphics/ tangible goods/custom wearable items is done so at your own risk. If you pre-pay for an item from another user and they are frozen before you receive the item you paid for, Subeta will not reimburse the pre-payment regardless of how it was paid for.
•If you request a commission from another and they finish it, you must pay, even if you no longer want it. If you do decide that you no longer want the commission, let the artist know before they finish the commission.
Contests
•Contests for tablet-drawn artwork or other real-world media may also be conducted in this forum.
•All contests and auctions for art, art services, and hand-crafted creations must have a clearly defined set of rules and a solid end date not exceeding three months from the date of initial post or announcement.
•Once completed, all prizes or rewards must be distributed within one month; failure to do so will be considered and treated as scamming.
Discussion of Art and Other Creative Endeavors
• As stated, you may not post artwork that you yourself did not create. All artwork MUST be created by you; you may not claim artwork created by another and claim it as your own.
• There is a 325-pixel height and 450 width limit for all images on site and a 5MB limit for any animations. All images and animations must adhere to this limit, any images or animations found to be violating this rule will be cleared or edited by staff.
• If you wish to post an image exceeding the 325x450 limit, please use scode
• All critiques should be kept constructive. Saying a piece of artwork or writing sucks without giving a reason/explanation why is not an acceptable critique. Instead, include reasons and explanation for why and ways to to improve. For example: While, the artwork is done well...the shading/anatomy, etc.. could be improved upon. Specifically, the shading could use more depth, etc.. or the anatomy is incorrect in this area and give a specific reason and way to correct/improve, such as adding in more depth shading( light/dark, shadow etc... shading) if the shading is flat or giving a way to correct the anatomy if the anatomy of an animal/human in the drawing is off.
Web Design Rules
• You may also use this forum to discuss web development and to get help with coding. This forum, however is not a place to post for help with HTML/CSS within Subeta, such as for profiles, shops, pet pages, etc. Please use the Profile and Graphics forum for this purpose.

• Requesting or posting information for how to create a petsite is prohibited.
• Recruiting for a pet site, or any other site, is prohibited.
• Posting or requesting information on how to create an XSS attack, or places where you can XSS attack a server is prohibited.
• Do not post about sites that contain offensive or illegal materials such as for keygen/cracking software.
I think we need to remove the bits about posting warnings before any content that exceeds pg-13 ratings. Even linked, it's not allowed. x_X
Gotcha, I've taken that portion out. I was using the old art discussion rules post which had that part included.
I have no idea how that was ever in the rules, tbh. We've always had the pg-13 rule! xD
, I was surprised; I did add back in the warning part, just with a provide a warning if posting pg-13 content with violence or gore instead. And I'll probably see about constructing the new rules for the Profile and Graphics forum tomorrow; this one took a bit to type out.
I wonder if there's a better way to word it than "violence and gore," like "potentially triggering content"?
it can definitely be modified to be more general. I've changed it to potentially triggering content instead.

Changed it to this: If posting any images/writing with potentially triggering content, such as violence, gore, potentially triggering situations, a link with a warning must be provided.
The potentially triggering situations was mostly for if someone posted something written, like a story, that might need a warning.
